Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs for solar energy systems.
- Ensure all work complies with Illinois state electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the installation team to properly wire and commission residential and commercial solar PV systems.
- Conduct system testing and inspections to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and system performance.
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid electrician license or certification (as required by Illinois regulations).
- Experience in electrical work; solar installation experience is a strong plus.
- Previous participation in the Illinois CEJA program is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with solar inverters, battery storage, and other solar energy components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in outdoor environments.
- Willingness to travel within Illinois as required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certification is a plus.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
